Kamira Hill

We are excited to have Burundi coffees back in our lineup after a few hiccups the past 2 years. These are coming through the same supply chain with a few tweaks as Jake Smith who was previously selling these to us directly is now sourcing them for Red Fox Coffee Merchants. This is a coffee we carried in 2020 and 2023, and we are thrilled to have it back. This lot is grown on a hill called Kamira above the village of Tangara in northeastern Burundi. The coffee is processed at a locally owned washing station called Nkanda, which is overseen by Pierre Nzeyimana, who has been managing washing stations in the area since 2002. This coffee is vibrantly fruit forward, with notes of stonefruit & citrus. It’s got great floral aromatics and a thick, smooth mouthfeel, with a heft and slight bitterness that reminds us of cola.
